Default Exhaust Help. De Resonator?

Hi,

Im after the scooby sound but currently dont have it on a classic sti. I dont want nur spec R. I want the burble without being too loud. Currently have a 22b Back box. Will remove the center resonator change the sound to a more scooby sound?

Worth a try do you rekon? Im after more rally sound than booming. And HAS to stay within 100db a 2/3rd revs. ish.

So whats your ideas/opinions?

The resonator being removed will increase the noise but i doubt you will go over 100db.

i have a full exhaust (Revolution) and decat and is quite subtle unless giving it the beans but even so isn't ,imo that loud

yeah that sounds like what im after. I dont want booming on idle. Just a nice burble.

Where did you get your exhaust? I am not really liking the jap can's at the moment and think i would prefer something with a rolled end.

Got any vids?

yeah i guess. Now wonder if ill get 2.5-3 with new bb

then i was thinking decat 3" all the way back. which wil require a remap

I dunno. Ill have to find a normal section without the resonator. Cant cost more than 50 quid surley?

50-80 quid for a meter of pipe seems a bit excessive!!

People say decat like its adding some technolog. its just a bent pipe!

Might go down my local exhaust shop see how much they can knock me up one for.

yeah they try and associate bhp gain with price.

removing an expensive cat with a pipe somehow costs lots of money....
