Defi Oil Temp gauge help
i got a defi oil temp gauge, which i think is not connected, it stays on 0 and the red light lights up....
the other gauges - water temp, rev, and turbo ones work perfectly..
can any1 tell me how to connect this pls?? details and pictures will be helpful as i dont have any clue about all this.... thanks

have you plugged the sensor lead into the wrong socket on the back of the control unit ?
Un-plug, and insert in correct socket....
Did you put too much teflon tape on the sensor threads when you fitted it ?
Take a length of wire and hold onto the body of the sensor and to the engine block, ask an assistant to view said gauge.

didnt do anything yet.... it was like that.. i didnt even look where the wires go lol...ive got more questions coming up... some lap timer, i dont know what that it... ill get pics later

If the red light is on it means the gauge is not getting a signal.
1) You need a sandwich plate at the oil filter (check if you have one fitted)
2) You need the sensor to screw into the sandwich plate and the wiring to the Defi control unit. (check if it is there)
3) If all the above is fitted, check its connected to the correct socket in the Defi control unit.
