It all depends if the car has been serviced with fully synthetic oil for most of its life, if not then its not worth putting it in, the wear it is protecting against is already there, so that puts you down to a 10w40 semi synthetic oil, if the car has been serviced using fully synthetic for most of its life then try a 10w40 fully synthetic oil like Motul (probably the best ) but dont go too high on the second number, a 40 or 50 rated oil is as high as you want to go, some people use a 10w60 rated but its like tar to these engines, causes drag and decreases power, it also doesnt protect as well on start up where its needed most, so avoid.

Mocom Racing recommended my car, under the same circumstances, 15/50W fully synthetic Motul. Mines a UK 99 Turbo with a 104k if it helps.

10w-50 or 15w-50 would be our recommendation as an upgrade over the standard 10w-40 recommendation

Cheers
