mate there is no easy way its just comes off? on mine which is a v4 sti, theres the pipe from the inlet manifold to the intercooler, intercooler to turbo(under the intercooler), there is also a sensor on the bottom of the intercooler, there is another pipe on the right hand side of the cooler, then a 12mm bolt either side, it should just lift off then

I managed to unbolt the inlet pipe from the underside again..
Just how "flexible" is the pipe from the turbo?
all i wanted to do was change the heater matrix
just take the dash out....
just pop the intercooler off to remove the hoses
bl**dy jobs a nightmare..
If i bolt the turbo / cooler pipe back on...
can i re-fit it back on the turbo and fit rubber back on the throttle body.... with out breaking anything. It all seems pretty stiff and shatterable.
the other one was.....
"unbolt the heater matrix and swap for new"
do i have to remove the entire heater system??
got all of the bolts i can see around the box with the matrix in it out, but its looking like i need to remove the air con box and the blower as well?

Yep snow it is lol
Think you do have to drain air con (CHECK as not sure) last one i did we removed air con anyway. As subaru do a bypass tunnel (for non air con veh's)
Sorry mate wish it was an easier job, best thing to do is join the hose's together and just not have heating
