Default big dent in sump

I have a huge dent in my sump (93 wrx).
It has been like this for time. car runs fine though. I think someone jacked the car up with the sunp
I have already spent quite a bit of money restoring this car and dont have much left over since crimbo.
Do you think this dent (see pic) necesatates a replacement/repair as a mater of urgancy?
I mean how close to the bottom does the pick up tube normally get? anyone know? I bet mine is touching the bottom now! The dent is about 15mm deep i bet http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...7/DSC00457.jpg
Surely if there was a problem the engine would have starved by now and died. Maybe it has bent the oil pick-up but is not really a problem as it can still draw in oil. Your opinons please.
I think its a couple hours labour to remove the sump as the engine cross member has to come off

To be honest have seen this done alot of times, normally breaks the gasket and starts leaking! But if yours hasn't and your oild pressure is ok then its not that urgent. Defo something that'll need sorting in the furture (but if you lower the car then your gonna bump it )

But it is a pain in the **** to do you need to get up between the sump and cross member!

PS advise would be not to drop cross member, best thing is to lift engine if pos!

All the sump bolts can be removed in situ., without having to jack the motor or drop the subframe.

..just need a 1/4 drive and U/J.

They are hence making some room is helpful, plus how much fun will it be to get them back in there
