assumnig you are on ther standard turbo then there is no need to up the injector size.. you can run the max boost the turbo will cope with on the 440cc once mapped etc..

Hi jgm, sorry to jump in! I have 440's and a td05 16g. Im looking to get the car mapped to run E85, and have a set of 550's to go in. You say the turbo above will max out on 440's, is this true of E85? Are you basing that for a td04?

Thanks,Mit

the OP car should have a vf23 iirc..

td05 16g will be more comfortable on 550cc.. you should just abotu be okay on 440cc but they tend to hold the boost higher in the rpm and therefore need more fuel and make in some cases a bit more power etc..
then if running e85 you will need a little extra so 550cc is ideal

They will be pink if they are denso 550cc injectors or yellow if they nismo 550cc injectors.

confused now (i am at about the same stage as the op) he said he had yellow injectors and it was agreed they were 440's then someone says yellows can be nismo 550's, how can you tell the difference? is it as easy as the nismos will say nismo or nismo 550 on them?

cheers

Unless the car has been modified and remapped, you will defo have yellow 440cc injectors as the standard ecu will not run properly with the 550s.

The injectors plugs also need to be modified to fit nismo injectors and you need a injector fitting kit for them.

Injectors from a WR1 will not fit a classic as they are top feed and a classic has side feed injectors.

do you know what turbo or power you are running? That would give an indication as to whether the injectors have been upgraded or not

Your car is a classic right?

If your car has yellow injectors and they are connected via standard wiring clips they will be 440's

As Simon says these should be fine for your turbo.

Given the fact that you are still on the standard turbo I cant see why they would have been upgraded so I'd say you were still on the standard 440's
