How are you running 280-300bhp already?
The z4 ecu is only rated to 0.87bar boost (260ps).i guess you have a chipped ecu?

Advantages of the decat will be quicker spool up

td05 is the standard turbo for a 93wrx and STIs upto STI 2 iirc.
Z4 is from a late 94-96 wrx and is only 260ps (256bhp)

The boost has been upped to a safe level but i would find out HOW the boost has been upped.

Std Z4 peaks at 12.71 and stabilises at 11.78psi which is 0.88 and 0.81bar respectively - certainly not 1.1bar.

So, as long as the Z4 hasn't been chipped like myblackwrx has pointed out, you should be producing around 260bhp. If it does have a chip then, yes, it will be running 1.0-1.1bar and this will allow anywhere between about 270-290bhp.

Easy to check: remove ECU from passenger footwell... remove the ECU's casing and check the bottom right position as illustrated in myblackwrx's posted photo... you'd be looking for a rectangular raised black chip there, the same size as the space it sits in...
