i fitted a new exhaust to my scob and it cuts at 4000 rpm .anyone know whats wrong.....

A bit more info needed mate.

Type/ model/year of car and what parts of the exhaust did you replace.
Any electrical connectors removed?

impreza 1996 wrx classic. decat pipe and stainless from there back. jap performance exhaust.did not remove any sensors .any thoughts greatful thx.

Hi mate, this happened to me last week. My 95 wrx ra was cutting out at 4k rpm, the rev's were limited and I couldn't go over the 4k mark. All I did was reset the ECU and its working fine now. Is you Check Engine Light on? PM if you need info on how to reset the ecu
