Default Engine upgrade....

i have an 02 wrx bug running 350/326, just found it has a burnt out inlet valve on cyl 1. It is running on standard internals.
Now do i rebuild my engine with upgraded parts, purchase an sti lump or go 2.5?

Now what power could a standard sti engine take (2 litre)?
Would i need to upgrade anything on the sti engine to run figures around the 400 mark.
Which sti engine to go for sti7,8,9? or are they all the same?
Was thinking of staying with the 2 litre for now as dont really want to do the gearbox and diff etc right now.

Your thoughts please

Rich.

if your aiming for 400 horses your best using forged internals with a closed deck block, as for gearbox if your running on a 5 speed your gonna need to swap it for a 6 speed setup
