BOV Dump Valves with de-cat normally cause that mate, dump valve can cause very slight over fuelling, nothing to worry about really, I like the pops and bangs

Default Feral T304 exhaust

Hi, I am a newbie so bear with me. Santa has delivered me an 2002 sti prodrive and my car also has a Feral t304 exhaust on. The popping of the exhaust is really quite loud on mine and caused a little old man to drop the books he was carrying as i drove past him on my 1st trip out !
Can anyone tell me (in simple terms as i am female) whether the car originally had 2 cats and both would have been removed to achieve the popping or just one and is this an expensive job ?
I do like the pops but am also concerned that this will get me a pull from the plods too

Yes two cats on the STI 2002 as standard, and do you mean re-fitting them ?

No not that expensive to do, BUT you'd have to source them and then the ecu may need re-mapping to suit the more restrictive exhaust. Just to be safe.

And welcome to the Prodrive "club".

I'd get the original prodrive one back on in the original colour myself - or you could swap your car for mine! I want a prodrive!
