Default idle speed control valve

any one know where i can get one from, its come up as a fault
i know its on the throtle body, but is it the top or bottom one when looking at it (my00)

try cleaning it first they are megabucks..use brake cleaner or wd40

i got one of the fitters at work to plug have a look?
he said it said it came up with that
dont know how to find out about the codes?

Idle control valve insitu (93wrx) but as far as i know it's in the same positon no matter what year.

Actually, if the car in the pic is a 93WRX then that'll be a phase one manifold, your 2000 should be a similar layout to the STI V/VI which is a phase two inlet manifold. Thus the ICV should be on the back centre of the Inlet manifold up and left of the igniter pack. I don't have any pics

You see in the picture above, where the intercooler pipe meets the throttle body, on a phase 1.5 and 2 that is where the ICV should be, it looks a little different, but you should find it.

Did you have bouncing revs or something similar to be sure the valve is damaged?
Mine might be faulty too, have to try another one first or does the Apexi Power FC send a code if it is faulty?

As some said above strip it down and give it a clean quiet often they just get a bit sticky .

it runs fine tho
just pluged in the laptop at work and it gave the code 24 (idle speed control valve proformace)
it some times stutters if im driving in 4th gear (or any for that matter) with the revs up, then boot it!
p.s im stuck on wot one it is is it the one on the top of the throttle body, above the throttle position senser?
