Thats for pre 97 cars if you have a bug eye as your name suggests you need to plug into the ecu via the port under the dash , any subaru dealer can do this but will charge about £60 or more or any performace garage API ect or do you now any one with a psi3 data monitor as this can tell you the faults and do a ecu reset as well ,that is why a lot of people buy them cost about £70 second hand for the cheaper version but pays for its self if needed also displays all sensor info for normal use mounts where the clock is .

Buy an OBD II cable from ebay and use romraider or ecuexplorer and you can do it yourself, you can get both programmes from sidc
