Default buying advice

hi all, im thinking of buying a 04 wrx wagon and im looking for advice about what to look for, one car ive seen had service history but not with subaru should i be concerned about this or not? also is there a mileage point where car needs a biggie service that i should be aware off? many thanks

the 50k service has the timing belt changed, so this is one to see if been done, as long as servicing done correctly at a vat registered garage all should be fine.

any other issues i need to be aware off? im gathering from what ive read theses cars are pretty bullet proof providing they have been looked after,also how easy/expensive is to get say another 30-50 bhp?

put a free flow exhaust on it, high flow induction and an ECU remap should help......
if u want to spend more then front mount the intercooler and use a larger turbo

Just check usual stuff, service history, HPI, VIN, etc. As for extra BHP, they arent the cheapest cars to gain extra horsepower from, so expect a remap ontop of supporting mods to get anything significant. Decat+remap is probably the first step, but thats gonna cost £800+ for entry level stuff.
