About 280bhp would be my guess, maybe a little more.

Dump valve won't help power mind, just adds 50bhp worth of noise!

don't know much about the 2.5's, but would have thought over 330.

With a good choice of fuel, a decat and a remap you can see these produce peak numbers on the right side of 300bhp and 360ftlbs

EX-ACT-LY!

Be aware of course that the 2.5 TD04's have a larger wastegate orifice than thsoe fitted to 2.0's and hence suffer a little less back pressure at the top end.

These just run out of puff at anything over 5000 rpm. Get a bigger turbo - the VF43 from the STi 2.5 is a good upgrade and will see a lot more top end out of it.

I would have thought 280 would be about right but get it on the rollers to find out - forum speculation is worth nothing.

Sounds about right, you can get great torque figures without too much work on the 2.5. Bhp similar to a 2.0 with the same modifications.

Maybe would have expected a few more bhp but this varies between cars. Who mapped it?

Where was it dyno'd?

Vpower or Tesco 99 may have helped get a few extra hp.

Normally the OP never goes on a dyno, and they get upset when their long list of modifications gets assigned a low bhp from the forum posts but then someone posts up 426bhp and they go away happy that they have a figure to chat down the pub with.

UK300 - I thought they did a tesco 5% bioethanol over there which is the same as our 99
