Hi Anyone know what exactly pinout in OBD diagnostic plug on MY98 impreza is ??

I know that :

pin 12 - Transmit
pin 13 - Receive
pin 16 - +12
pin 5 - ground

on the socket i can see pin 4 but i have no idea what's that...

I need to know what the protocol MY98 ecu use... i can communicte on the TTL but is very slow - the datalogging isn't acurate
I bougth ELM327 but when i had check inside the plug pin 12 and 13 is not connected that it mean that is no way to any communication .... Is it possible to mod ELM327 or ELM323 to talk with ECU ??
