Agree - I thought it was the smaller VF24 too .

I thought the VF23 was the slighty larger one (exhaust housing at least) that was exclusively fitted to the 22B - with the even larger VF22 being a factory fit option

Indeed, as far as JDM saloons are concerned, isn't it?...

* MY93-96 v.1/2... TD05H-16G
* MY97/98 v.3/4... VF24
* MY99 v.5.......... VF28
* MY00 v.6.......... VF29 (or possibly VF28 too?)

98 WRX runs a VF23 as standard. Subaru parts bin has a mind of it's own.

Sorry to be one of those annoying "I don't know what I'm talking about" types

If you are planning on remapping the car then I would go for the td05, if not just stick the vf23 on.

Are you running the TD04 without a remap then?

I'm guessin yes because i've had the ecu aparts and it looks std....the TD04 turbo is under powering the car, as it doesn't or should i say didn't seem as fast as it should have dun compared 2 my old wrx which was re-mapped 2 305bhp???
Also its only just running just under a bar of boost?
