Default How many miles off a tank?

Just got back from a 315 mile off one tank journey with my 97 uk classic. Normally boot it everywhere, but took it easy sitting at about 70 to see just how good it could be. Don't think I'll ever beat this figure ever again!!

That's pretty good, I mostly do shortish journeys and with an heavy foot get around 200 on a full tank, 281 bhp. Still smiles per miles it's worth every penny

I've just completed three tanks over the weekend.

One I got 300 miles from, all motorway driving (but stuck on the m25 for 1.5 hours).

Second was going from Cannock to wales and driving around there on small roads - 270 miles before light came on.

Third I got 280 from before fill-up, but light wasn't even on and the petrol gauge was sitting at the 1/8th mark.

391bhp, 10% e85 mix. It's actually using a lot less petrol now that it's been remapped with the e85 (used to get 220-230 miles out of a tank when taking it easy earlier).

Pretty mixed then!
Still pretty chuffed with my bargain journey, may try the same one again, give it beans for the whole journey and compare the results

My Old 2001 Bugeye would do:

330miles per tank, that was motorway and a bit of town driving
280miles per tank, short journeys to and from work 6miles each way

My STi Type R: (Only had it a few days so don't really know much)

290miles on a tank, motorway and blasting it around cardiff swansea at the Rally GB

Getting the impression that it all depends how hard you are driving and the traffic conditions.

Once went from Peterborough to Preston via the A1/M62 on a Thursday afternoon before the roundabouts were taken away. Great fun but 175 miles later had to fill up BEFORE arriving at destination. Another time on a Thursday evening after midnight via the A14/M6, arrived with quarter tank to spare, so about 220 miles to the tank.

Other examples of driving conditions. Until recently worked at a dairy so driving empty country roads flat out at 5 in the morning, great fun . Regular 200 miles to the tank. Recently joined the daily commute at 45mph , 28 miles each way and just returned 300 miles to the tank, so some consolation.
