Angry My Bonnet won't open :(

Don't know why....noticed it the other morning before I left for college as noticed the window washers were empty, couldnt open it but was so cold out that I forgot about it and went to college, thinking it was just the frost making it stick down

bought antifreeze to fill up this evening, go to pull the handle inside and nothing still happens? It doesn't even pop up?

So how are these fixed? have no idea!!!! Hope it's not a big job

dose it open with the key???
the reason i ask is there is a lever on the lock on the boot that can be caught by accident that disconects the lever the the cab so cant be opened from inside... need to flick it back, if this is the case

Any resistance on the lever?

If not, broken cable or its become detached from behind the lever, or the bonnet catch.

Most likely though is a build up of crud on the bonnet catch, sometimes they'll pop open if you can get someone to hold the lever whilst you jiggle the bonnet.

(ps, I've edited the thread title for you )

I had a problem like this on one of my old cars. The solution was to get someone to pull up on the bonnet, and another person 'jiggle' the bonnet release in and out.

Hi thanks al, andy and chris

No resistance on the lever....pulls up and down freely as you'd expect and then to pull it all the way up you'd expect the sound of the bonnet popping but it doesn't lol

ta for the title too, lol. I will try that jiggle trick with it when my mate comes up, thanks again guys appreciate it
