Jerky when letting on and off throttle?
Hi all,
Yet more woes! My 96 wagon sti is quite jerky when on and off the throttle. A good example is when your cruising in traffic, trying to maintain a constant low speed the slightest movement of your foot makes the car jerk and hop.
Same thing when cruising in 3rd gear or any gear trying to maintain steady constant speed part throttle, it just doesn't have a smooth transition when you let on and off the throttle seems to be jerky and jolts you a bit. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks

was going to say the same thing. If it has one of those chavtastic wastes of time on it (VTA) then take it off throw it in the bin and put the original recirc valve back on and it will be a dream to drive again

Yeah only mod's are a turbo back 3 inch system and a hks filter which needs a new element. Rest is completely stock and will stay like this. Also has stock ecu but will eventually get standalone and a remap. It was doing this when it had the stock exhaust as well.
Plugs are fine, coil pack is the later single type rather than individual so cheap to replace if needed but unsure if its that. Throttle position sensor could be the problem hope it's not the maf. I'll do a diagnostic test and see if any faults come up.
Appreciate the help.
