hi all

When i first became interested in modifying the scoob i got a small dawes device MBC how ever I never fitted it as i later had the car mapped with other supporting mods to 260bhp and 260lbs.
Ive heard it can help with turbo spool up
Would fitting it make it easier to control boost levels for the mapper etc
The cars getting a FMIC fitted in january and will be re mapped to suit that so i was just wondering wheather to fit or flog the dawes?!?
Does it do anything other than help increase boost levels?

fitted one to mine when it was over boosting due to mods up untill got a re map and now i wouldnt put it back on as ecu will not controling the wastegate and air/ fuel is out then and can get a bit over board with boost cos you want to up it later..........it dose make boost hit its target a bitt better but not realy noticable as air dose not push against the actuator till it opens,, diffrent when air dose a little when its ramming through boost pipes to boost solinoid it dose push small amount against actuator till solinoid closes thats why people put 3 ports on as they work opposit from 2 ports

once re mapped it stays controled by ecu only imho

yeah, stick it on, you'll be fine.

boost will come in earlier, fuelling will still be fine! (well as fine as it is as standard)

....just dont turn it up too much.
