Default v5 ecu replaced z4 my 96 impreza help

well at long last found the cause of all the cars problems ecu was shot z4
now it has been replaced wiv a v5 ecu the thing is the idle is lower 900 revs before 700 now and does any1 know the power rating of the v5 many thanks ali

V5 is from a wagon (possibly automatic as well) so power is 220ps iirc

Yeah my old auto wrx wagon had a v5 in it, 220ps.

so will this be allright in my saloon then ?
i can chip it to bring the power back up ?

v5 is a lower power map for an automatic gearbox, probably lazy cams, and td04 turbo, so fueling could be wrong for your td05 ( i assume your saloon is an import wrx), someone more qualified will probably reply, you could get it sorted by someone like scott t, polar performance, or just get another z4 if that is the one original to your car.

yeah, chip it with a polar performace chip and it will be fine. if you leave it as it is the car will run....but performace will be ****e and could do damage over a long period
