Octane booster in a MY01
#1
I have been using Millers octane booster in my car since about november last year and today I got my car back after it broke down.
It turned out to be the plugs had a heavy red coating on them, the heat sensor in the up pipe was knackered, also the Air Flow Meter was replaced and my baby is running sweet again.
Anyone else this has happened to.

I don't know, but the mechanic seemed to think so, I'll keep off it for now & on its 10k service I'll get it checked out. (1500 miles away)

That's a lot of things to go at once - plugs MAF and heat sensor? I guess it was a warranty job on a MY01 then
Sounds like a "let's replace everything" kind of job or am I just cynical?

Millers is based on Magnesium Dioxide (well I think it's dioxide) which does coat things red better off using a toluene based additive like Silkolene Pro Boost or something similar.
