Default Realistic power output for a WRX JDM Import classic?...

Whats a realistic power output for a Import WRX JDM Classic MY95.

At present I only have a decat exhaust system.

Unsure on the factory bhp, stats etc.. (any1) but obvious after 13 years its played its part.

Just wondering on my options and whether its worth trying to get as much power for not 'alot' of money?

In 14 months I will have paid off my loan and am probably looking into an EVO 8, but for mean time, I want to ge as much fun out of my classic as I can.

At present its on 103,000km.

Just wondering if I mod too much, it may play on the reliability side of things.

Any sugguestions, opinions, experiences?

Thanks

I have always loved Evo's though lol

Just thinking I want more power but dont want to spend loads and loads if engine goes soon ish, ie on around 103,000 km now.

Good stuff though

Subaru's official figures...

- 260bhp @ 6,500rpm

- 228lb ft @ 5,000rpm

(Assuming it's a saloon lol)

103k km is only about 64k miles, nothing really if the engine has been looked after (regular servicing etc)

huh...they vary so much from 220ps to 260ps which both figures would be less measured in bhp. I have a wagon my95 which was 220ps or round about 215bhp. Now dynoed @272bhp 260ftlbs with 51k miles & is reliable as any other car ive ever owned.

Yeah sorry, I did mean 260PS, so 256bhp, for the saloon at that MY. (As you say, 220PS (217bhp) is the quoted figure for the Wagon, but I assumed it was the saloon the OP was talking about).

In reality, however, each engine's output varies a little regardless.
