WRX manifold on a 1.8GL? Aiming for flat four burble!
Okay, after researching and looking at my own manifold, the difference that gives the flat four burble is the manifolds being unequal length on a turbo one. Can anyone confirm if the turbo manifold mates to the block? Blocks look to be identical. I am aware the rest will need modding and welding to get the turbo manifold to mate to the exhaust.
Quick answer would be appreciated as i'm watching a manifold right now.

The turbo sits on top of a short pipe (the 'up pipe' - which is mated to the driver's side header, the shorter of the two). Then the downpipe comes off the the back of the turbo.
So, seeing as yours isn't turbo'd, then you'd need to get a fabricater to make a suitable piece of exhaust tubing that mates to the driver's side header (a la as the the up pipe does), then on through the engine bay and finally mating up to your existing downpipe... BUT... surely something like this already exists?
