Unhappy please please help turbo smoke and drinking oil?

please help me ive got a feeling its my turbo but i need confirmation and help to resolve, right i drove from south coast to batley west yorkshire today in my99 uk turbo with 108000 miles on clock the car was fine all the way at 80mph or there abouts now i noticed when i got near whilst accellerating the boost was pulsing on and off slightly but i didnt think much of it but when i arrived at my destination i gave it a bit and looked in the mirror and saw a big plume of blue smoke oh **** now i checked my oil when i stopped and it wasnt even registering on the dipstick so left the car and went and brought some 10 40 semi synthetic oil and topped it up managed to drive the car back completely off boost but stopping every 40 miles or so to refill oil now there is no bad noises coming from turbo and no coolant loss atall if anyone can help me i really need my car to work as i just purchased full decat system and now cant fit it until problem is resolved.
all help is much appreciated cheers

Hi mate, if it is your td04 oil seals, then dont worry too much , you can pick a turbo up for about 50 quid and fit it yourself, its not hard, or its a good time to start modding!

You could put Td05 on then buy a chip for your existing ecu to run that turbo, I and a few others from snet are using said chip with no problems. That is unless you are you have a non standard ecu.
Dont know wether he still has it but MOJORSARCASM has a chipped ecu for sale.

good point, a td05 16g and a z4 ecu would be good and cheap, unless z4 is for 440's?

£50 plus p+p is good for a low mileage TD04.

If you are really skint and handy with spanners then try these

TD04+TE04H. TURBO.STAGGERGAP OIL SEAL. on eBay, also Engine Tuning Parts, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 05-Nov-08 21:40:44 GMT)

or

TURBO CHARGER TD04 /TE04H TURBINE+COMPRESSOR OIL SEALS. on eBay, also Engine Tuning Parts, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 05-Nov-08 21:35:56 GMT)

Good luck

Keep us posted
