Unhappy Urgent Advice Re Offboost Misfire

Hi, Can anyone help, My mates Impreza Type R has got a bad misfire but only after driving gently - off boost - If you boost it the misfire vanishes. We've put new plugs / leads in and a secondhand coil pack and it's still there, seems fine on initial startup but starts again pretty soon after driving.

Many Thanks

ive a type r and have a similiar problem that youve described, At criusing it misses like when the aircon is on but it isnt. Ive changed the 02 sensor twice, the plugs a few times and the maf sensor but not the coil and leads. Its the symptoms of an 02 sensor but ive changed it. I hope you get to the bottom of it as im having trouble.
Cheers

James

cant you do a fault code check with the green & black connectors under the steering colmn like i have on my WRX? maybe that could shed some light if it picks anything dodgy up.
