Default Thread size of blanking plug above cyl no. 3

As the title, can anyone tell me the thread size of the blanking plug above cyl no. 3?

Am i right in thinking it is M18x1.5?

i thought they were 1/8th npt as the defi sender goes in there i think

I mean the thread size of the hole in the block. 1/8 npt is small.

The bung in there looks a fair size, suppose i might have to measure it when i take it out.

No one else know what the thread size is?

you would be right.

Just buy one.. SUBARU ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE GAUGE FITTING ADAPTOR on eBay, also, Subaru, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 02-Nov-08 10:07:58 GMT)

Thats not what i need, my probe has a female collet that screws down onto a male fitting.

This looks like what i need, ordered it earlier so we'll see if it works...

BSP british standard pipe, that is 100% wrong, i fitted 1 it's the ebay item.

Make sure you don't overtighten when fitting the adaptor! It will easily strip the threads as i found . I had to remove the washer to get it to bight on the last two threads.

It has developed a very small leak after an oil change that was carried out last week. I don't really want to remove it as it may not fit again, i've got some threebond liquid gaskit to put around the adaptor. I hope it works!

This is what i have ordered, might have to modify it slightly but will work. I'll put up more photos when i get round to fitting it.
