tdo4 or vf34/35 with sti pink injectors
hi just after a bit of info, i have managed to bag myself some sti pink injectors off ebay and a walbro fuel pump, just wondering what sort of power i can expect if i keep the td04 and get it remapped or should i keep saving up for a vf34 turbo. would be happy if i can get around 300bhp
car is a 2003 wrx current mods are
full 3"decat inc uppipe
green panel filter
bailey dump valve
samco y-pipe
walbro fuel pump
also will i be able to safely drive the car when the injectors are fitted before the remap
cheers shaun

as said save for vf34 or vf35 both turbo's good for 340- 350bhp with supporting mods,td04 will be screaming at that level.
you will not be dissapointed with the vf34-vf35 with supporting mods & a good mapper, will make a very fast road car with excellent torque

If you wanted to retain the fast spool of the TD04 you could always take a look at the Andy Forrest TD04 hybrids (View my Scoob for some figures).
I don't know what the lag is like with the VF range but I do know there is very little lag with my current setup...

trying to find a vf34 second hand is like looking for rocking horse poo. vf35's are easier to come by or you gonna have to buy new.
i gave up hunting for my 34 and bought one new

to be honest i was in a very similar situation as u where, but the td04 is only good for 290bhp at the most so your best off saving up for a vf34 or 35, with one of these turbos you will need to use the pink injectors as the standard wrx ones wont be able to cope and i would say you will need a better intercooler as the wrx ones arent the best. i went for the vf34 and difference is unreal the car just keeps pulling in every gear.

full boost wont be at 3k, that td04 teritory, im hitting at 4k but i'm running standard headers, pullies, flywheel etc 3.5k is prob more the realistic best you can hope for for full boost
