Default advice on spark plugs

I've been reading here that the pfr7b's are better than the pfr6b's.
I have 05 sti ppp with custom remap around 330-340 bhp on standard pfr6b. Car is running well, no. problems.

So what I'd like to knowis that is there any benefit if I'd fit the 7b ? Also do the 7b lasts also 60k miles ?

7's obviously run cooler (can withstand higher cylinder temps), so are a good idea to use for mods over and above a decat, full system, filter with a remap.

I think it's definitely a good idea to get some, what with your 330/40bhp... Won't give you any better performance, but gives you a bit of peace of mind knowing they shouldn't overheat - in contrast the 6's could possibly contribute to possible det, should other things not be up to scratch (e.g. too high air intake temp to name but one).

If you do get them, and you know your coilpacks to be in good condition, then gap them to 0.7mm. If unsure of the condition, gap to 0 0.65mm, or even 0.6mm if coilpacks are quite old.

BTW, I have 7's and am 'only' running 285bhp max. (up from std 237)

Thanks for your answers. I guess my coilpacks are in good condition as car is just about 3 years old. Not sure I can actually check them without taking off the battery etc
How often do you recon I should change plugs? Obviously with the higher boost I wear them more. I ran about 1.4 - 1.45, maybe 1.5 - not sure exactly.

If you're running >300bhp and c.1.4bar, then I'd defo get some, and at first gap them to 0.7mm and see how you get on...
