Has the car already had a map? Took a look at your profile and I didnt see anything about a remap. MY99 would need a ECU TEK remap. If hes bolted on a turbo from a P1 and not had it set up or mapped accordingly its not going to be running at its optimum.

With current mods a re - map would get you close to 300bhp, maybe a little bit more.

Its not been remaped. He told me when i bought that if i did it would push out 300BHP. Any idea what it would cost?

Ok time to disclose...But i get Maxmimum 192 Miles to my classics full tank which costs £52 ish Vpower always. (varys from station to station depending on price).

Mines mapped and runs 1.29ish boost (on dense days a little more maybe), and yes when i boot it i ensure i wear a vapour mask rich mixture that's for sure and i love it.

Good Luck

If it's NEVER been EcuTek'd before then you have to pay for the licence and the remap which is about £550 (JGM Simon) to c £650. Then subsequent maps are about c.£300 from any mapper, as the licence has already been payed for.

As above, Andy Forrest is your man for where you are. This is just my opinion but if I was you I wouldnt start giving your car the beans untill its been mapped. Just to stay on the safe side. It`l be worth the wait aswell from mods that you`ve got so far.

Oh yeh, 220 miles on £60 is a good thing

A P1 turbo will surely be a VF28 not 22/23?

And it should be good for about 320bhp - with exhaust, filter, fuel pump swaps and a remap.

Question

Just to add to the VF 'debate', yes VF28 is an OEM fit STi v.5 (v.6 too? ) turbocharger, and the P1 is effectively a reworked v.5/6 STi Type R (no DCCD; added ABS).

Also, was the VF23 only fitted to the 22B, with a larger VF22 (how ironic) as a factory option? Or were the VF22/23 fitted to other variants also?
