Default Fault code 22- Knock Sensor

Hi guys, i started my car up this morning and my CEL lamp illuminated straight away and stayed on for about a mile, it went out but when i started the engine later today the CEL lamp was on again. I carried out a flash code readout and it was indicating a knock sensor fault. Is there a way to test the sensor, i know from Subaru the little knock sensor is nearly £180 Has anyone else come across this fault on theres?? I'm going to try and clean the terminals and check the wiring just in case. Cheers. Daz

Had mine changed 2 years back by a "Subaru Specialist" for about £85, never had any problem since. They're PC diagnostics will get crazy reading's from it if it's gone dicky.
