Default Up pipe heatshield removal. Classic WRX

The heatsheild is rattling its **** off and it's starting to really bug me now.
I want to rip it off and wrap the up pipe.
Does the down pipe need to come off to get the up pipe off?

Theres a bracket that bolts to the head, that the turbo bolts to,which should hold it. The up pipe has a welded on bracket, that the heat shields bolt to.I had to cut this off,as the up pipe was too big to remove with it on.

Cool, i had visions of oil and water pipes and every thing coming off the turbo for the sake of an annoying rattle!

Doesn't seem too bad a job then, i've had the down pipe of loads of times so those bolts would be the easy ones. Plenty of WD40 for the others now
