Hi Guys,

My car runs under a 100 normal, when I give it some maybe it will go up to 105-110.

So I'm thinking I need to get my self an oil cooler to bring the temps down a fraction.

I don't want to put the cooler anyway else, other than behind the front grill and so I will thinking a 7 Row oil cooler would do me nicely.

But would this size really be big enough to make any difference to the oil temps?

I only do road driving, the old girl doesn't go near a track.

Depends what width you're planning on getting... 115 or 230mm? It will make a difference.

I was running similar temps to you before fitting a 16 row x 115 with a thermo sandwich plate, and now my oil temps are always in the low 80's for daily road use. Hard use just about gets into the 90's with 95 max recorded at the Ring this summer.

IMHO a seven row cooler may be a tad small, but don't go too crazy !

A thermostat is good for road use, as the oil warms up as normal.
