Just wondering if anyone has experianced this before.

I run 1.45/1.5 through a 18g turbo but recently ive hit 1.25.

I do have a blow on my downpipe gasket which is being fixed soon.

also i have checked/tightened all boost pipes from front mount. also checked dv pipes/boost solenoid pipes. cant see any damage there.

I had full boost before with leaking gasket so i dont think its that.

Anyone got any other ideas as its getting annoying now

could well be the gasket leak.. usually before the turbo has most effect but if it is causing turbulance in the exhaust gas leaving the turbo etc it could effect spool.. or the wastegate maybe more efficent now.

or a leak on manifold somewhere or intercooler pipe leak

I had problems with boost dropping on my 18G'd bugeye........eventually traced it down to a small split in the silicone FMIC intercooler pipe behind the nearside morette.

Unfortunately I've been told that it's impossible to buy the pipe for the APS DR 500 series....more grief

I started the car up and got underneath but couldnt find a leak anywhere on the manifold.
Hoping its the downpipe gasket now. otherwise its a days work looking at each piece of piping one by one

right then, on the way home i put my foot down on the motorway in 5th, boost went to 1bar the dropped to .8 then when the 4200-4500 power band came in went up to 1.3.

does this help solve this rubbish problem?

also i hit 1.42 on way home but only in 5th.
