Default Urgent help - Piston broken

Not a scooby but a Seat Alhambra - 4 cylinder transverse engine.

Think either the cylider head or its gasket has gone, so I have taken the head off today. On looking into the chambers, the top of one of the pistons has boken away (no debris though) but it needs replacing.

Do you think this is possible to change whilst the crank case is still in the car - ie take off the sump and get to the piston form there.

(I've posted on here as the Seat forum is useless)

best bet is to take the sump off and look at the setup. If you can get to the connecting bolts then you should be able to get it out
