When fitting it, and if it comes with the three associated vacuum hoses, make sure the small brass resrictor pill is present (it's located in the bottom hose, in the leg just after the bend). If not, reuse your existing one and/or hoses.

Eh? The restrictor pill isn't required in a 3 PBS setup?

Are you sure bluenose172

See here from Scott T's website...

Boost Solenoid Plumbing

That IS a 3-port one isn't it . Or am I being thick? If so, I apologise for giving out wrong advice - although it was well intentioned

Regardless, of 2 or 3 ports, surely you need the pill to be present to control boost spiking anyway, no?

That diagram makes no sense to me TBH. In the stock setup the restrictor pill sits in the vacuum line that leads to/from the compressor/turbo nipple. It's there so the wastegate actuator doesn't get overdriven. Why would you put the pill on the intake return line?

To be clear, if you are going to fit a 3 PBS, you WILL need a remap!

I have a prodrive 3pbs, i ran new pipe work and took the pill out. There is no t-piece anymore after fitment!!!!! From memory, if you remove the pill without dropping wastegate duty you run the risk of serious damage. Stay off the loud pedal!!!

Pill defo not needed for prodrive 3pbs and it holds boost really well!!!

on the original 3port set up on the early cars there is a restrictor pill on the line from boost solenoid to air intake.. as you say on the 2port there is a restrictor in the line from the compressor cover to the T piece..

when fitting and mapping for a 3port there is no need for a restrictor.
