Fitting 440's before remap?
Hi, im going for the esl live ecu hopefully next week, but need to fit the 440cc injectors first. I have an adjustable fuel reg, should i dial the pressure down when driving the car to the map. Looking at driving 50 miles like this.
Thanks,Mit
Thanks,Mit

Keep it off boost and it will be fine. I drove approx 100 miles to meet AF with a front mount, uppipe, 550's OE fuel reg, apexi boost controller and an Apexi ECU none of which had been mapped for the car.

Yes, just build speed slowly. Try to keep boost low at on, or below, 0 pressure - which you can easily do when accelerating gently - up to a max of c.4k rpm. That's still good for c.80mph cruising .
And to hell with the impatience of other drivers...

Yeah, im sure i can be sensible on the drive to Zen, having the ESL live fitted as stated, and also a full geo setup with whiteline arb/camber bolts,so the trip back should be interesting

You won't be dissapointed with those mods - make sure you go round the ind. est.'s local circuit at Zen's and negotiate the rounadabouts. You'll go mental over the handling...

Sounds like you've got the same problem as me. Every time i do something,i convince myself thats it for a while.......until next pay day! Im fitting a set of gt spec headers along with the injectors, done the tmic,fuel/oil pump, fuel reg, parallel rails, full de cat, panel filter,i think thats it! I don't plan on getting another map for a while, not this year anyway
I have a set of 4 camber bolts, but told i probably won't need the fronts fitted, rear droplinks, and sti 6 suspention, again, don't plan on changing this so one setup only.
If i can get 330/300 i'll be well happy!

Oh yeah, i changed the slanty tmic with a sti v5/6,easy fit and made a noticeable difference straight away. If you get the standard v5/6 passenger side mounting bracket, along with the standard drivers side,it bolts straigt up.(see my profile pic). You'll need a samco v1 ic-turbo hose, and cut it down to fit. Total job took me 2 hours.

Yep. you've got a similar level of tune to me (see 'View My Scooby' for full list of mods to date). I haven't got the uprated oil pump though.
Yeah, JGM reckons mine's between 275-285bhp (at fywheel obviously), but hopefully the 440s and bar and plate, larger core ARC 'Super Inercooler' will get me to 300+, which I'll be more than happy with....... Then I'm sure I won't be able to resist a FMIC, 550s, larger turbo, etc.. LOL!
Getting paid each month, you rub your hands together with glee like some old miser, anticipating the next round of mods
Yes, Zen will be able to achieve -1.5deg. (if that's what youre happy with?) on the front without any bolts, but you do need them for the rear to get -1.5deg.
N.B. Do you know if your remaining 'front' bolts will fit the rear stuts' top bolt holes . If so, I'll have off you for £10 delivered to my door (they're only £15 from specialists). What do you think?

That's why I initially went with the STi v.2 (soon to be replaced as mentioned earlier) as a direct, easily fitted replacement. Only 2% more flow than the v.1/2 WRX black one with it's similar sized core (has a bigger rear end tank), but its metal/silicone inlet combo is a whole 50% less restrictive than the WRX's OEM plastic pipe with its corrugated flexi area!

8th! Unfortunately, that's when I turn the not-so-big-and-clever Four-Oh, LOL.
Yes, if they're not needed - and if you then could find out from Paul or the others if they fit the rear to get -1.5deg - then I'd be grateful. Then we can have a deal...
Well, Spoox Motorsport (up the road from me in Hinckley) do 'em for £14.69 (that's one set of two bolts) They told me that they're genuine Whiteline items - they certainly look like they are. Strangely, Spoox have 'em advertised on eBay for £29.99 . I went to thier premises the other week to see if they had any in stock (they didn't) and pointed out the price discrepency. The chap said he'd alter it to £14.69, but so far hasn't...
