Fuel pump trouble!!!
Hello!
I have a problem with my fuel system and hope someone here knows what it could be When i turn the key to "on" whithout starting the car the fuelpump starts running but it never stops, does it not go on a time relay or something like that? The car runs on E85 and have a GEMS ECU PnP.
Please have answers to my problem

But shouldn´t the pump stop running after a few seconds? You mean that the pump stops when the fuel reach a certain pressure?
I forgot to tell that the car wont start and it smells fuel

That's exactly what I'm saying. The pump stops once a certain pressure is reached unless the engine is running.
Basically when you turn on the ignition key the fuel pump will pressurise the fuel system. If the pump is not turning off you have a fuel leak somewhere or the regulator has failed and is simply letting fuel back to the tank.
You might have a split fuel hose, check for leaks under the inlet manifold.
Either way the fuel system is not getting up to pressure.

The fuel pressure has absolutely nothing to do with how long the pump runs for, as the Ecu has no idea how much fuel pressure is present in the system.
If the Ign is switched on but the key is not turned to the start position, then the Ecu should run the pump (via a relay) for short period of time (2-3 secs) to purge the system and build up pressure ready for start up. It will only run the pump continuously when either, the Ign switch is held in the start position or the engine is running.
If the pump is running continuously with Ign on, then it has either been hard wired to get round a previous problem or you have a stuck relay or ECU fault.

Depending on version, the GEMS ECU will run the pump for a configurable number of seconds - upto indefinitely!
What MY is your car? If it's a MY99/00 then the pump relay may be triggered directly by the ignition rather than the ECU due to immobiliser issues.
