The car has been decatted and the CEL is on and showing 02 sensor (I think).

Had same problem on my old 2001 WRX which had been decatted but when I had the car ecutek'd Pat was able to turn the CEL off and trick the ecu into thinking there wasn't a problem.

Can this be done on a 2003 STI? The car has been mapped by MOCOM, am I right in saying they don't use the Ecutek software but some variant thereof?

Hoping I can get it switched off as driving around with the CEL on will annoy me

I suppose MOCOM should be my first port of call but havn't picked the car up yet so was gonna wait until I've got it before making an enquiry with them.

Any thoughts/comments welcome.

If it is a P0420 then yes Zak will be able to turn it off - but I'm surprised he didn't disable it anyway?

I was surprised that Mocom didn't just turn it off. Will give them a call once I've got the car.
