Default Misfire when cold and low oil

hi guys, the car developed a misfire a while back, so i had the coolant temps sensor - maf - plugs and coil packs changed, but still the same, then i decided to give it a clean and once over.

i gave the underside of the engine a jetwash off and checked the oil, i noticed that the oil was low and took a liter of oil, afetr doing this the misfire when and the car ran like a dream, now its started doing the same thing.

could this be because of a low oil level

Thanks David

Have you kept checking the oil to see if it has gone low again :S other than this take it to a specilist who be able to diagnose correctly the fault!.

i checked the oil and its fine, so it cant be that and i gave it an ecu reset but still the same.

i have been running the car on 97 unleaded for ages now with no problem at all and its very smooth, but this monday i put 30L of tesco 99 in and since then its been running like crap.

when i first start the car its fine but after about 20-30 seconds it starts misfiring badly and sometimes comes close to stalling, but once it gets warm it run fine.

Thanks david
