i have a 93 wrx ra impreza does anyone know what ecu should be fitted to this car?

can you use a sti ecu on a wrx engine?

it could be any the most popular on a 93 wrx is a U8. i have lots of theese, and i have some fitted with esl daughter board chips. pm me if ya need one. yes a sti one would work but may result in DET furthermore engine damage, unless the supporting ancillaries are fitted too,

You can use a 6k (v2 STI) which is the same as the PPP map and is the best standard option.

If you want the best power output a remappable ecu is the best way.

 

i have a u8 fitted to the car but also have a z4 in my other wrx which when i use this ecu the car seems to run better and have more power as when i use the u8 ecu the turbo lag is about 3-4 seconds and car doesn't seem to run great

 

z4 is rated at 260ps (late 94-96 wrxs) and has a better map on it ,U8 is rated at 240ps (92-late 94 wrxs).

Actually just read it's an RA which should have a W9 ecu

No the 6k is the best but if you can get a cheap z4 then that would be fine
