Default Maping

Hi lads need your help please,my car is a uk300 when i got the car it was runing nice the boost was 1.34bar with a nice kick around 3000rpm, then i wanted to get more power i had typhoon kit on upraterd fuel pump sports cat fitted rest 3" all through, the car was runing still nice with a kick then i went to scooby clinic for a full re-map when it was done power was at 267bhp, i drove home with my son and we said where has the kick gone just like driving a none turbo, so i got back to scooby clinic and they had a look again on rollers there is a problem with the boost, but was doing 1.34bar before, they said the up pipe will be blocked and get rid of sports cat, and turbo might be on it's way out, so i took his advice and got a brand new vf34 turbo and magnex up pipe, and fully de-cated 3" all the way, iv had 550 pink injectors fitted and front mount fitted, and went back to have it mapped 341bhp,they said it's a bit laggy so we drove home and still no kick but it is meant to be 341bhp i am very un happy about it all, can you please help with this,do you think it's the map???

yours tony

Did you have a top mount intercooler before when the boost was good?

firstly what age is your car and how much was re map i have same spec as you and i'd kill for anywhere near 300 bhp i ran 260.8 today

also whats a uk300?

when you left the place after it was mapped the second time you left with 341 bhp? are you saying your missing the big jolt you get when you change gear? maybe they've made the fuelling etc very good so its all nice and smooth?

I had my car mapped by Bob Rawle a while ago ......I went from a TD04 to a TD05 and there was a serious change in how the car drove

I had lost the "kick" from the lower spooling turbo but it was replaced by a relentless surge of licence losing power!!

Bob explained that he liked to map cars for a smoother power delivery to improve on the road manners

As already explained on 22b... smooth is the correct way to map it and that is exactly what Pat has done
