Apexi PFC swap for a Autronics/Gems?
Was toying with the idea of changing my Apexi PFC Ecu for one that runs Anti-Lag (Autronics, Gems etc).
Car is a MY00 with a VF35 Turbo, I know the VF series turbo is not the strongest for Anti-Lag, but it would only be used occasionally for a bit of fun.
Any other pros or cons for doing this?

Biggest benifit IMO for the ECU's u mentioned and Simtek ECU is MAF-less running, you won't have to worry about the choclate MAF on MY99/00 models ever again.

Simtek's are great but a bit pricey for what Im after. Great car you have Dean, thought Id spent a bit on mine but its nothing compared to yours!
Anyone else know whether it would be safe to run a Autronics/Gems with my set up, is Anti Lag controlled by a switch and would the VF35 shatter on the first go!!??

Not sure about Autronics, but with GEMS and Simtek the Antilag can be controlled by a switch, i would guess the Autronics is the same.
I had a GEMS but never fitted it, worked out the Simtek only cost me about £100 more by the time i sold my Apexi AVCR (the simtek has good boost control). I paid £500 for my GEMS and was going to cost another £300 to get it fitted and mapped.
Not sure how a VF35 would cope with anti-lag.

unless you can manage to find an autronics or gems secondhand you are going to be spending more than a simtek would cost you anyway and imho the simtek is better than the gems and very similar to the autronic which is more money.
antilag can be setup mildly to keep a vf35 in one piece which is unlike the earlier VF turbos fairly robust..
