Hi
Just imported a STI Type R V4, it is idleling very low and seems to fluctuate between almost stalling and 700rpm. The check engine light has come on and is throwing up code 33 - vehicle speed sensor. The speedo and rev counter are working fine. I have reset the ECU, CEL goes away for about 15-20 mins and then returns and goes into limp mode. Whats happening? Can anyone help?? Thanks

 

do u have a a/m dump valve fitted to the car

 

No standard re-circulalating one.

 

Vehicle speed sensor is on/in the gearbox i think

 

would the faulty speed sensor cause the low ideling? or could it be something else?

 

i had this problem with my V3 sti when i changed the clocks to white ones in my car. The engine check light was coming on and the rev needle was going mad because i had'nt connected the speedo cable behind the clocks correctly but the car was running fine, the rev needle was going down to about 100 rpm then going up to about 3k rpm and yes when i turned the car of and disconnected the battery everything was fine for about half an our then the car would start shouting @ me again lol
