hi there had my car on the rolling road last year my96 wrx pre facelift z4 ecu standard though out at the time it was 227 bhp and 218 lb/ft tourqe matey said it was a good strong standard engine then i noticed on ebay claims of standard wrx being 280 is mine shagged it had done 76000 miles at the time

 

I would say yours is doing well with 227hp at the wheels, given that the z4 equiped car is rated at 260ps, or 255hp at the flywheel.

 

sounds about right if the figure is ATW, it would roughly convert to 280 @ the fly.

 

thanks guys just the answer i was lookin fo since then i have chipped it wive a scooby chip and added a hayward scott backbox and decat any ideas of a bhp of the tops of ur head

 

Hmmm So is all Bhp measured at the flywheel then eg the stats we read for new cars etc
