Default how to get a burble from my sport

hi there ive alway loved scoobys from when they 1st came out.being only 23 i carn't afford the running costs of a turbo nor insurance so i got a sport wrx replica the only thing you can tell is the sound and need some help to get that famous burble i no it wont be as loud but anything resembling a wrx would be nice.

ive heard if you change the headers has it got a exhaust system at all

its only got standard sti on it at min.thinking borla or ninja cat back

will standard wrx headers fit my sport then to get the burble?

Yeah, thats right. Its the uneven length of the headers that give the burble. as for fittment, ime not sure. sorry for the lack of help with this one.

easiest way is to fit a ninja (or similar) back box and center pipe, will give a nice burble, or get a borla manifiold from ebay and that will do the trick. had the borla, center straight thru pipe and a prodrive back box on and it sounds just nice, with both cats removed was a bit loud, and with both cats removed and the ninja back box it gave me a headache if driven for more than 20mins.

no the wrx headers wont fit.

in a turbo scooby, its purely the unequal length of the manifold to the turbo that gives the burble..so you wil need one pipe slightly longer than the other going to your centre section to achieve the burble.

look on youtube..im sure ive seen some sports on there sound JUST like a turbo..and borla rings a bell for the manifold(also called headers)

thanks sounds complicated lol.thought it was just the sound of a flat 4.

Try asking on
.:ImprezaSport.net:. quite a few have swapped to the Borla manifold on there and will be able to give you some more advice

A friend of mine had a magnex cat back system on his sport and that had the 'burble'.
