do classics have 2 cats
i thought i heard somwhere that the one in the centre is a resonater and the cat was only on the downpipe

my 93 wrx only had a cat in the downpipe (not any more though
)

I've got a version 3 Import and it had two cats. They were in the downpipe and in the centre section.
Noticed I said had two cats, both have now been removed. All you need is an understanding MOTtesting centre ha ha ha.

or a pre 95 import and you havent got to worry about pc plod then believe they have 2 one in dp one in cs

I believe the STi's had only one cat, the box in the centre pipe which looks like a cat was empty.

UK spec MY99's have two cats one in the usual place and one in the middle section, it's not a resonator. Mine went for my remap, much nicer now!

The only classics with 2 cats are UK spec ones!! I have confirmed this by chopping up various systems. 2 cats on a JDM classic appears to be a myth!

Can't be a myth,I've got a Import version 3 and I had two. One in the downpipe and one in the centre section.
To the best of my knowledge all version 2 and 3 WRX Imports are the same????
