Wink how much should i pay for a new maf.????

i have a 95 wrx, when i bought it the car ran like a sack of poo i changed the spark plugs, oil + filter cleaned the cheap air filter and then it ran sweet as a bowl of sugar. my first taste of scooby power ..But recently it started idleing funny, after i did the traditional "laying on of hands" fidleing with all the pipes and wires burning my hands on the hot bits then scratching my head thinking i bet that fixed it.. it ran fine again. then after looking through the forums i found a few other people had the same problem. my scooby is running fine at the mo but i reckon the maf was the problem, i'm not a rich man (husband on a budjet) will i need to do the dishes and the hoovering for any lengh of time before begging the missus for a little extra pocket money to buy a new maf as i dont fancy my chances with a second hand one. any help would be great. also i'm after a new recirc valve so i can get rid of the cheap nasty dump valve i dont need anymore as the kids do the CHshhhhhhhhh everytime i change gear anyway and i read it could be part cause of the maf problem along with the cheap induction kit. please be kind its my first scooby so i'm still learning.!!!!!

Ditch the I/K and refit the OE filter box and intake, along with an OE recirc DV. Ask in 'Wanted' as these sort of bits are often offered about, or have a good trawl through 'For Sale'. Scoobyclinic, Scoobybits and others may have what you need too.

A new MAF is about £90 IIRC. Being an import UK dealers may struggle to source the correct one, but specialists can always get them. Make sure you get just the sensor, and not the sensor AND housing as the price almost triples.

I'm not too good on Classic's, so if I've got anything wrong then someone will be along to correct me shortly.
