version 5 heads fit direct to early cdb

version 5 heads fit direct to early cdb
can anyone tell me if this has been done , i have a early cdb block from legacy turbo , and are wanting to use a set of version 5 sti heads on it , are these a direct replacment , with the standard steel headgasket , or any valve clearence issues , thanks kirby32

you need to use the correct head gaskets
the pistons to deck height are different and you need the correct head gaskets to rectify.
Mark at Lateral Performance can supply correct head gaskets

Lots of cars use this set up its in no way uncommon, the head combustion area is different on the version 5 heads by a few cc also as mentioned your piston compression height will vary depending on what choice you make.
All of these can be correctly addressed by using the correct head gasket thickness.
