Default low boost

i have had a v2 sti before and was happy with the power, the turbo came in hard and lasted quite long, it boosted at 1.4. i now have a v1 sti and it only boosts at just under 1, when it is just warm it boosts hard but as it gets up to full temp the boost is no where as strong, does it need a boost valve or is there a problem with it, cheers phil.

Sounds about right for standard boost, as for loosing power when hot, does it have a induction kit?

yes, its a blue blitz one, it also has a bigger turbo housing on the tdo5, front mount, .5 over bore with forged pistons and H beam rods, i would have thought it would boost more than my last sti thats all.

Is it mapped for those mods? Was thinking the power drop could have been due to the induction sucking in hot air...
